My in-track teamwork experience for the ADA Software Engineering Internship

I am a Front-end Engineering Intern in the ongoing ADA Software Engineering Internship and we recently completed a collaborative task. As a Front-end Intern, my team- Team Dalmatians😎 was tasked to create a WhatsApp Web clone. This article documents my experience throughout the project phase.

We were grouped in the 5th week of the program and so we had to reach out to our team members so that we could begin the process. My team was a team of 4 ladies. I started a conversation with them on the Slack channel provided for the program and we kicked off our collaboration.

We appointed Adetutu Deborah Oluwasanmi as the team's lead and she set up some of our collaborative tools and shared invites with us, I created the repository on GitHub, and invited my team members as collaborators. That was a very seamless process and I knew collaborating with the ladies was going to be superb.❤❤❤

We set up our first meeting and had a chat that lasted for hours. We divided what was required of us amongst ourselves, collaborated on the wireframe of our project, and set deadlines for ourselves so we were always on track.

I was a builder and a front-end developer for the project so I helped with wireframing and coded my part of the design using Visual Studio Code IDE(Integrated Development Environment), I reviewed my codes with my team members on Code Sandbox and I pushed my codes to GitHub.

I have worked in a team asides from this, where collaborating with my team members was very stressful and draining, just had to pull through it one way. But working on this project with Ogochukwu Ugorji, Kasie Ugwu and Adetutu Deborah Oluwasanmi was just amazing, they did their tasks brilliantly, and they were very understanding on some days I couldn't meet up with my deadline due to other commitments and I will just say they made the process very seamless and were "very matured" about it- didn't downplay anyone's ideas and were opened to learn from others. I will work with them again!💯

Below is an outlook of our result, feel free to hit us up to be hired for front-end engineering roles.😉😅 Screenshot (806).png
